1. n. 1 a person who manages or owns a bank or group of banks. 2 a a keeper of the bank or dealer in some gambling games. b a card-game involving gambling. 3 Brit. a result forecast identically (while other forecasts differ) in several football-pool entries on one coupon. Phrases and idioms banker's card = cheque card. banker's order an instruction to a bank to pay money or deliver property, signed by the owner or the owner's agent.
